Cotter Research Sponsored, Zeroing in on Gang Crime: The Use of a Comprehensive Model
Registration is open for this May 30th event at 2pm EDT. The City of Alexandria (VA), in collaboration with the Northern Virginia Regional Gang Task Force, has been leveraging the Department of Justice Model (OJJDP) Comprehensive Gang Model and has seen a drastic reduction in gang crime within its jurisdiction. During this 30 minute webinar sponsored by Cotter Research, Mr. Mike Mackey will demonstrate how they can correlate this reduction in crime to their use of the OJJDP Comprehensive Gang Model. Participants will learn about the use of the 5 tenets of this model and see specific examples from a jurisdiction that is seeing positive results.

Cotter Research 2013 Winter Technology "Virtual Conference" for Public Safety
Cotter Research hosted its first, web-based conference during the week of February 4-8, 2013. We donated 20% of our proceeds from this conference to support the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF). Our week-long event centered on topics related to all aspects of law enforcement technology and information sharing.
National Tactical Officers Association
The National Tactical Officers Association has awarded Cotter Research a contract to assist with upcoming 2013 webinars. The first event is scheduled for February 13: Preparing Today's Patrol Officers for the Next Critical Incident.
National Institute of Justice
Scientific Research Corporation awarded Cotter Research a contract to coordinate and manage a series of webinars on the use of license plate recognition technology, technology project management, and information-led policing technology. This effort supported the information sharing portfolios of the National Institute of Justice and SPAWAR Atlantic - Advanced Law Enforcement Technology Branch.
U.S. Department of Homeland Security, SAVER Program
Scientific Research Corporation awarded Cotter Research a contract to coordinate and manage a series of webinars on the use of body worn cameras and the effective use of social media in emergencies/during disasters. This effort supported the information sharing portfolios of the National Institute of Justice and SPAWAR Atlantic - Advanced Law Enforcement Technology Branch.
